Dominique, a Las Vegas native, began her musical career on piano at the age of 5. She began her studies with Martha Sparks (Manhattan School of Music) and later studied exclusively and extensively with Enrico Elisi (Eastman School of Music). Throughout the course of her (continued) piano studies, she has participated in numerous competitions locally and in states around the country, always placing high in competitions and receiving great commendation for technical and musical abilities. Notably, she placed, three years consecutively, in the CSN Piano Concerto Competition. She has been asked to perform in conferences along the west coast, including MTNA.
At the age of 11, she began her studies on cello. First studying with Moonlight Tran (Thornton School of Music), Dominique recognized her love for the instrument and began study on the cello intensely alongside the piano. She later studied with Robin Reinarz (Univ. of Arizona) and is currently studying with the esteemed Associate Professor of Music at UNLV, Dr. Andrew Smith (Mannes School of Music). Like her path of competitions for piano, Dominique also began competing on the cello and placing high marks. She has also studied with cello masters such as Cheng-Hou Lee, Dmitri Atapine, and Zuill Bailey. Currently, she is in her last year of study for her Bachelors of Music in Performance, for cello studies.
Along with her musical abilities, Dominique has studied dance extensively. She received intense instruction from numerous teachers who have attended and taught at notable dance conservatories such as the Conservatoire de Paris. She pursued the study of ballet and pointe with intense interest and capability, thus performing in competitions and recitals along the west coast.
Currently, she is performing (cello and dance) throughout the Las Vegas strip in shows such as the Frankie Moreno show at the Stratosphere and has played with other performers who have come to Las Vegas, such as Beyonce and Ronnie Vannucci.
